My brother found this and puts the $40,000+ price asked for a Class copy into perspective. Full colour, reprint of FF #1...

Well, re. Creepy Worlds 32, with its reprint of Fantastic Four #1, one just sold on eBay for $1,000.00 USD. The seller's original asking price was $9,9999.99 USD, "Or Best Offer". I put in an offer of $20.00 and was decined, of course. I've had pretty good luck acquiring issues of Creepy Worlds with FF cover/story reprints within the past year, a total of four, Creepy Worlds 34 (FF #4), 35 (FF #%), and two copies of Creepy Worlds 37 (FF #6). All are pretty nice in terms of condition, and I was able to get three of the four for under $10.00 each (Creepy Worlds 34 was just over $20.00). Re. the sale of Creepy Worlds 32: "There's a sucker born every minute". P. T. Barnum
ReplyDeleteTypo: that should read Creepy Worlds 35 (FF 5). Here's a link to the now closed listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230833375940?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
ReplyDeleteHi, Guy. Is that $10 p&p included? That's about £5.00 UK so not bad. I have to agree with Barnum on the sucker angle -$1000!! Enjoy your collecting!
